SYNOPSIS
Occurrence of defects, faults and failures in concrete structures are related to a number of reasons. Diagnosing the causes of the distress is often the starting point in establishing the root cause of the deterioration. Adopting a systematic approach to diagnosing the root cause of the distress is key whenever dealing with distressed concrete structures.
This 1-Day Seminar on Repair & Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures attempts to outline repair techniques which are suitable for structures located in tropical environments. The seminar concludes with real life case studies featuring diagnosing and specifying the right methods and materials for structural repair and rehabilitation.
At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Select the right methods and materials for repair and rehabilitation
- Prepare Bill of Quantities based on the remediation technique
- Draft specifications for the most suitable repair techniques
TARGET AUDIENCE
Civil engineers wishing to specialize in areas related to diagnosis, structural repair and rehabilitation of concrete structures will find contents of the seminar to be practical and relevant for their immediate use.
The seminar is also useful for fresh engineers who may want to learn more about selecting the right methods and materials for structural repair and rehabilitation.
