Synopsis

In this half day seminar, you will learn about the global leader in high tolerance, high-performance industrial floors, and how to define, build, and measure them. Additionally, you will understand the importance of fit for purpose, how to specify the flatness requirements, and finally, how to measure the flatness. There are many misconceptions about the standards available to choose from, so it is critical to understand how to interpret the standards for surveying high tolerance floors and the major differences between the standards.

About the Speakers:

Mr. Colin Thoms has spent 37 years of his 50-years career in the Construction Industry in Asia. After graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1974, Colin joined a major construction company in the UK before venturing to the Caribbean. In 1993, Colin incorporated his own Design/Build Company in Singapore and simultaneously co-founded CoGri in Asia in 1994. CoGri Asia is based in key locations throughout Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong.

Mr. Andrew Tait’s first decade was spent building a foundation in general main contracting on large-scale roads, bridges, and airports before switching to a specialist reinforced concrete contractor. Before moving to Singapore, he was involved in large-scale renovation works, leading to a position in Asia renovating sizable areas of traditional shophouses as well as schools and prisons. In 2001, Andrew joined a boutique design and build organisation providing bespoke tailored industrial solutions to global corporations such as Coca-Cola, Givaudan,and Cameron. In 2018, he moved to the CoGri Group, focusing on high tolerance, high-performance concrete floors. With the rise of robotics and automation within the logistics industry and E-commerce, CoGri is leading the world in concrete floors fit for purpose. Andrew develops strong operational teams and leads with enthusiasm and a resolute dedication to quality and professionalism, analysing and solving business, contractual, commercial, and technical issues to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Mr. Gary Curtis is a results-driven business development professional with over 20 years of experience in sales, project management, and business development across Asia. Gary's previous roles at CoGri include Regional Construction Manager, General Manager, and Marketing Manager, where he handled P&L responsibilities, marketing, operational management, sales, and project management across various countries, including Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Australia.
